Guide for Authors

Policy of the Quarterly Kavoshnameh Journal of Persian Language and Literature

 

This journal accepts articles that are original and innovative, follow a scientific research method, and use authentic and original sources. Based on the policy of the journal, the submitted articles should also be in the field of Persian language and literature. Therefore, the journal cannot accept topics about Arabic and English.

 

Before submitting an article, please note the following:

  • Articles should be submitted electronically only at http://kavoshnameh.yazd.ac.ir.
  • The submitted article should not be already published in or submitted to any other journal or presented at a conference.
  • The official language of the journal is Persian, but the abstracts and the references need to be translated into English as well.
  • The article size should be from 5,000 to 8,000 words; the journal will not accept the texts longer than 8,000 words.
  • Registration of all the authors (if the article has more than one author) is required on the journal site.
  • The orthographic features of articles should be in accordance with the instructions of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, and half-spacing is required between words.
  • The journal is free to modify the articles that need editing.
  •  In the case of an articles extracted from an academic thesis or written in collaboration with faculty members, a) a letter of approval from the supervisor or the fellow faculty member(s) should be accompanied with the article, and b) the names of the supervisor and/or the co-author(s) should be written next to the corresponding author.
  • The responsibility for the scientific accuracy of the materials contained in an article lies with the author(s).
  • Failure to comply with the publication ethics or any other infringement, such as simultaneous submission to other journal publications or plagiarism, will be dealt with at three levels as follows:

 

  1. a) written notice to the corresponding author
  2. b) exclusion from reviewing his or her other articles in the journal for a certain period
  3. c) notification of the organization to which the corresponding author is affiliated

 

  • Publication of articles is subject to the final approval by the editorial board.
  • The corresponding author will be informed of the acceptance of the article for publication after the final approval of the board of reviewers.
  • The reviewing of articles in this journal is subject to payment. The initial cost of reviewing is 100,000 Tomans, and the cost of acceptance and publication is 250,000 Tomans.
  • If an article lacks any of the items listed in the authors' guide, it will be removed from the review process.

 

Style of writing articles

The texts are supposed to be typed in Lotus font 13 on A4-size pages with borders of two centimeters all around in the 2003-2007 Word space.

The submitted articles should have the following sections:

  1. Title
  2. The name(s) of the author or authors should be given under the heading, left, at the top of the abstract, and the name of the corresponding author should be written with the asterisk. The name of the university or institution of affiliation is also needed for each author. (Writing the authors' names at the top of the article is only necessary after the acceptance of the article and in the final ready-to-print files, and mentioning the authors' names at the beginning of the paper submission will prevent submissions from reviewing).
  3. Abstract (from 150 to 250 words)
  4. Keywords (from 3 to 5 words): Separate keywords with commas (,).
  5. Introduction (including problem statement, research background, goals and necessity)
  6. Discussion
  7. Conclusion
  8. Notes: They Include appendices, posts and, in general, whatever item not as a part of the article but necessary and appropriate to clarify the subject matter. The notes are provided at the bottom of the article (before the list of references). (Type in font size 12)
  9. List of references

Organize the references as follows:

  1. A)   Books

Last name, First name, (date of publication in parentheses). name of the book, name of translator or editor, time of publication (second edition). Place of publication: publisher’s name.

For example: Zarrin Koub, Abdul Hussein, (1362). The Value of the Sufi Heritage (Third Edition). Tehran: Amirkabir Publications.

  1. B)   The article in the journal

Last name, First name, (date of publication in parentheses), "Title of the article". journal name, period and journal number, beginning and end pages.

Ebrahimi Dinani, Arezoo, (2014). "Perfection in the Mystical Mysticism of Azizuddin Nasafi", Exploring the Persian Language and Literature, Volume 12, Number 27, pp. 146- 103.

  1. C)   The article contained in the collection of articles or encyclopedias

Last name, First name, (Publication Date)., "Article Title in Guillaume", Book Title, by Collector's or Editor's Name. Place of Publication: Publisher Name, Volume, Page. number.

Noushabadi, Tajaddin, (2002), "Kavian", Encyclopedia of Persian Literature, by Hassan Anoush, Second Edition. Tehran: Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Volume 3, p. 820.

  1. D)   Internet sites

Last name, First name, (date inserted at the beginning of the article or date of sighting). "subject or article title". website name and address.

  1. E)    Compact disc

Last name, First name, (year of publication in parentheses). Title, CD name. place of publication: publisher name.

 

Notes to remember:

  • Specific names, Latin terms and foreign phrases should be mentioned immediately in the parentheses after the Persian equivalents.
  • Set up large tables on separate pages.
  • Indicate the number of tables and diagrams in the text and specify their approximate location.
