Abstract

The Muslim attack on Egypt, undoubtedly, followed certain socio-economic, political and military purposes. A study of Egypt’s socio-economic and religious structure, its defensive power, and the motives of some Arab conquerors in Syria as well certain political and military circumstances of the time sheds light on the objectives of the attack.
To help readers understand the main causes of the attack, this article aims at such considerations as, mentioned above.
