Abstract

One of the most important factors in selecting a suitable site for cloud seeding is the study of the clouds in a region. This research has been conducted on the southern mountains in Kerman province, using the data on clouds provided by regional stations.
The results of the research show that the highest occurrence of overcast and low clouds is observed from December till April. During this period, the freezing level is the lowest. Also the Lowest temperature range, -12.5°C occurs at the height of 5400m above sea level. From December till April the southern slopes of Barrez-Lalehzar have provided the most suitable conditions for the performance of cloud seeding projects.
