Abstract

Abu Mu'in Nasser bin Khosrow bin Harith Qabadiani Balkhi is a well-known poet of the late 4th and early 5th centuries. Nasser Khosrow is one of the poets who put his poetry in the service of religion. Nasser Khosrow believes that poetry should only serve religion and religious leaders. Several reasons have caused that Nasser Khosrow's Diwan has not received much attention from commentators and a complete description of it has not been published so far. One of the books that describes the poems of Nasser Khosrow is a book entitled "From Qabadian to Yamgan" written by Mr. Mohammad Reza Yousefi and Mrs. Ruqieh Ebrahimi of Shahrabad and published by Al-Mustafa International Translation and Publishing Center. One of the most important goals of describing texts is that the narrator tries to solve a problem of that text for the readers according to the knowledge he has. For this reason, different contents should be considered in the description of the texts and explained to the reader. In this article, we will carefully examine the book "From Qabadian to Yamgan" and we will show how successful the commentators have been in this matter and have they really solved some of the difficulties of Nasser Khosrow's poetry?
