The arid and Semi-arid areas in Iran comprise two-thirds of the country. That is to say, the desert areas provide a 65% coverage. These areas, at the moment, enjoy no economic potentials. However, they are qualified to exploit for solar energy, wind energy, soil, desert plants, livestock, and minerals.
