Aqa Sayyed Ali Alavi Yazdi, the son of Mortaza, and the father of sayyed Zia al-Din Tabatabaee Yazdi, is held as a famous contemporary political journalist. He had a significant role in the politico-religious careers of two Qadjar kings, i.e., Mozaffar al-Din Shah and Mohammad Ali Shah, as well as in the conflicts between constitutionalists and counter - constitutionalists. Nevertheless, researchers on Qadjar Dynasty have paid him such little heed that one can not even find a brief informative biography about him and his impact on these conflicts.
The current article attempts to illustrate Aga Sayyad Ali Alavi Yazdi's influence upon constitutionalism in Iran.
