One of the biggest and most powerful governments in Iran is the long-term period of the Sassanid dynasty, which began after five and a half centuries from the end of the Achaemenid Empire with the accession of Ardeshir Sassanid. The Sassanid government added an outstanding and brilliant period to the history of Iranians and created a fruitful political and social culture, many of which remained in the history of Iran. The most important factor in the stability of this dynasty's rule was the formalization of the Zoroastrian religion and its connection with politics, which overshadowed many other political and social factors. One of the most reliable sources that can be used to extract the political and social culture of the Sassanids is the valuable book Shahnameh of Ferdowsi, which reflected these cultures. This article, written on the basis of analytical-descriptive method, aims to extract the most prominent political and social rituals common in the Sasanian period from authentic historical books and then analyze their conformity with Ferdowsi's Shahnameh. The research results show that in political culture; The connection between religion and politics in statecraft, the ritual of coronation and enthronement of kings (removal and installation), the culture and customs of visiting the king's court and in social culture; The ritual of child birth, marriage ritual, burial ritual and mourning are among the most important rituals of the Sasanian period, which are also reflected in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh.
